To evaluate the educational effectiveness of the DIGICULTGAME methodology, a comprehensive Player Awareness Analysis was conducted after participants completed the digital games. The assessment measured changes in cultural heritage knowledge and awareness through a structured pre-test/post-test approach.
Participants completed a five-question knowledge test before playing each game and the same assessment after gameplay. The collected data were statistically analysed to compare learning outcomes, identify knowledge gains, and evaluate the impact of game-based learning on cultural heritage education.
The analysis demonstrated significant improvements across all five digital games, with post-test scores consistently exceeding pre-test results. These findings confirm that the DIGICULTGAME methodology effectively enhances participants' understanding of both tangible and intangible cultural heritage while promoting active engagement through interactive digital experiences.
The results provide strong evidence that digital games can serve as effective educational tools for increasing cultural awareness, supporting heritage preservation, and fostering meaningful learning experiences among young people. The findings also contribute to the validation of the project's innovative methodology and offer a replicable evaluation framework for future heritage-based educational initiatives.
